Comments and Activity

Every candidate profile has an Activity tab showing a timeline of everything that's happened — comments from your team, stage changes, emails, meetings, and more.

Leaving a comment#

Open a candidate profile, switch to the Activity tab, and type in the comment box at the bottom. Press Send to post.

Comments are visible to everyone on your team by default. They're a great place for quick notes — "spoke to them at the conference", "strong referral from Jamie", or flagging something for a teammate.

Private comments#

Toggle the lock icon next to the comment box to make a comment private before posting.

Private comments are only visible to:

  • You (the author)
  • Admins and Owners of your workspace

Use private comments for sensitive notes that shouldn't be visible to the whole team — salary expectations, internal feedback, or recruiter-only context.

Editing a comment#

Click the edit option on your own comment to change its text. Edited comments show an "(edited)" label so readers know the content was updated.

Only the person who wrote the comment can edit it.

Deleting a comment#

Click the delete option on your own comment. A confirmation prompt appears — once confirmed, the comment is removed from the timeline.

Only the person who wrote the comment can delete it.

Activity timeline#

Below (and around) your comments, you'll see automatic activity entries like:

  • Stage moves — when a candidate advances or is moved between pipeline stages
  • Emails sent and received
  • Meetings scheduled and held
  • Scorecards submitted
  • Campaign enrollments

These entries appear automatically as your team works with the candidate — no manual logging needed.

Tips#

  • Comments are internal only — candidates never see them, and they're not synced to external ATS platforms. If you need to push notes to an integrated ATS, use the meeting notes sync instead.
