Sign Up and First Login
This page walks you through creating your Elly account and what to expect the first time you sign in.
Signing in#
Elly supports three ways to sign in:
- Google — Sign in with your Google Workspace or personal Google account.
- Microsoft — Sign in with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) or a personal Microsoft account.
- Email and password — If your admin provisioned you with credentials, sign in with your work email and password.
Go to the Elly sign-in page and pick the method that matches your organization. If you're not sure which to use, check with whoever shared the invitation with you.

What happens on your first sign-in#
The first time you sign in, Elly sets up your account automatically:
- A workspace is created for you. In Elly, a workspace is called a group — it's the shared space where your team's jobs, candidates, and meetings live.
- You become the Owner of that workspace. Owners have full control over billing, team members, and all settings. See Invite Your Team for what other roles can do.
- You're placed on the Free plan, which includes 100 credits per month. Credits power features like AI interviews, sourcing previews, and meeting summaries — see Billing and Plans for details.
No credit card is required to start.
Joining an existing workspace instead#
If someone on your team has already set up Elly and invited you, do not sign in cold — that will create a brand-new workspace for you instead of adding you to theirs. Open the invitation email they sent and click the link inside to accept. You'll land in their workspace as a Member (or whatever role they chose).
If the invitation has expired or you can't find the email, ask them to resend it from Settings → Team.
What you'll see on the home screen#
After signing in, you land on the home dashboard. From here you can:
- Create your first Job (see the ATS section)
- Open Settings to finish configuring your workspace
- Browse Candidates, Sourcer, and Meetings from the left-hand navigation
Next steps#
- Invite Your Team →
- Or skip ahead to connecting your ATS and calendar if you're setting up solo.
